VERDICT: The Hollywood Syndicate could dominate with their two runners. Phaka Imali, who won his last start in good style, and Purple Powahouse, who has been knocking at the door, have secured gates one and two respectively. The latter, with in-form Ant Mgudlwa in the irons, is back to his best track and trip and may get it right. The former has Richard Fourie up. Granddaddy Purple ran an encouraging race in his last start and should build on that from a better gate. Mac Hardy could be the dark horse. He needed his last and may be better on the poly. Dark Tide could have a say.
