VERDICT: Mart has hit the crossbar on each of his last two outings at Lingfield and he goes off the same mark, so he should remain competitive. However, he could find it tough to deny the hat-trick seeking Shallow, who took care of her rivals by two lengths on her handicap debut over C&D. Richard Spencer's filly should have plenty more to offer and looks difficult to oppose off 7lb higher. Jimmy Speaking has Silvestre De Sousa booked on his return and he completes the shortlist.
