VERDICT: Kalpana got up to score on her debut despite showing plenty of inexperience, and she backed up that performance with an encouraging second under a penalty at Newcastle last time. The daughter of Study Of Man has shaped as if she would improve for this step up in distance and she can defy her opening mark of 78 under Ryan Moore. Stormy Waves signed off last year's campaign with a victory in a nursery over a mile and he is one to take seriously off a 5lb higher mark. Victory Shout and Align The Stars are others to watch out for.
