VERDICT: Pedley Wood lost little in defeat when staying on into second on his handicap debut over an extended 2m5f at Hereford last month and isn't taken lightly racing off the same mark. This drop in trip, however, may leave him vulnerable to a rival with more speed and Pilsdon Pen is the one. The six-year-old's stamina appeared stretched by the longer distance when weakening into third at Warwick recently and he makes most appeal. Last-time-out winner Kepagge completes the shortlist.
