VERDICT: Matchless defied a penalty to win a novice hurdle at Catterick at the beginning of the month and that form suggests that he could go well off a mark of 119 on his handicap bow over hurdles. Al Zaraqaan failed to fire at Musselburgh last time but it is far too soon to be writing him off and he could prove to be the main threat. Others to note are Fruit N Nut and Ashington.
