VERDICT: De Young Warrior was last seen finishing a distant eighth in the Midlands Grand National at Uttoxeter in March and can improve dropping in both grade and trip today. However, he is rated 5lb higher than his last winning mark, so it is easier to side with Don Herbager. Venetia Williams' inmate bolted up at Bangor in February and has run well fresh in the past, so can be expected to be thereabouts today. Alminar is another to consider.
