VERDICT: Most of these have questions to answer and while the most solid option could be An Marcach, he doesn't have the best record fresh, so preference is for Rebecca Curtis' Easkey Lad. He looked in need of a stiffer test of stamina when third over shorter at Plumpton last month and this is only his third start over fences, so he could be open to more improvement. Present Chief has disappointed of late but he is starting to look very well handicapped if recapturing his best form.
