The first day of Chester's May meeting gets underway and here are the thoughts of our Racing Factors tipster.

Trainer Tom Dascombe is no stranger to success at Chester and he can get off to a flyer with Old Chums in the very first race. The son of Kodiac has been a different horse this year winning twice and finishing placed in his other three runs thus far. He went down a short-head on his latest outing at Kempton over 7f last time out. Now back down to 6f and from a very good draw in stall 2, he could well be able to execute his usual front-running tactics to a nicety. Old Chums rates a 3 star each way Pick.
