Much Too Dear is yet to win in 10 starts under rules, however he has finished 2nd on 3 occasions in those 10 runs and most notably last time out at Ascot in what looked a good handicap hurdle. He tracked the leaders that day only to get outpaced a shade mid-race, he then finished the race off very strongly and has to be considered an unlucky loser, going down by 1/2 length. He pulled 9 lengths clear of the 3rd that day and looks to have optimum conditions today. If Much Too Dear can get into a good rhythm early, he should be staying on strongly at the finish. Much Too Dear rates a 4 star each way Pick.
