Remastered has been somewhat of a revelation this season having come back from wind surgery. He won a competitive 3m handicap hurdle at Aintree in November, before going on to finish a fine 2nd in the Newbury Chase Gold Cup, only beaten by a very well handicapped rival. He made no mistake next time though at Kempton, where despite losing ground at the start he was too strong for a good field of handicap chasers, winning by nearly 5 lengths. It’s interesting that connections have now switched him back over hurdles, where he has a 10lb lower mark than over fences. This leaves Remastered looking very well handicapped and with his stable in excellent form recently he should run a big race. Remastered rates a 1 star each way Pick.
