The calm after the Royal Ascot storm and here are the thoughts of our Racing Factors tipster.
Pontefract
J: Jack Gilligan
T: Sir Mark Prescott
What trainer Sir Mark Prescott doesn't know about training handicap race-horses you could probably write on the back of a postage stamp and he seems to have another improver on his hands in the shape of Trooper Bisdee. He was given 3 runs as 2-year old and obtained a handicap mark of just 56 to start his 3-year old career. He managed to win 4 of his 7 starts last season, but looked a big raw individual and raced lazily at times. He returned to action this season at Nottingham where he won with what looked a lot in hand by 1 1/2 lengths. The handicapper has put him up 5lb for that, but there could well be plenty more improvement to come from Trooper Bisdee. Today's marathon distance of 2m2f looks sure to suit him really well and can bag another handicap. Trooper Bisdee rates a 4 star win Pick.
