Toptime was in good form on the all-weather at the start of the year and was then given a short break when reappearing at Doncaster at the start of the month, his first run since March. The break seemed to have freshened him up and he won by a clear cut 1 1/2 lengths from 10 other rivals. Bumped up 6lbs in the handicap for that win he now races off a mark of 59, but has in the past won off this mark, so he ought to remain competitive enough. The straight 5 furlongs at Nottingham should suit him really well as it is a track that lends itself well to horse that race prominently such as Toptime. Toptime rates a 4 star win Pick.
