Broadway Boy achieved a good level of form over hurdles before being sent novice chasing last season. He looked a good prospect over the larger obstacles winning 3 of his first 4 starts in that sphere. He's form then somewhat curtailed at the start of this year albeit in grade 2 and grade 1 novice company. Returned to action this season he ran a good race to finish 3rd of 14 at Cheltenham and that run could well have been needed to bring him to peak for this main early season target. The slightly extra distance should suit Broadway Boy today and off a mark of 148 he could well have more to offer chasing this season. Broadway Boy rates a 4 star each way Pick.

Remastered maybe advancing in age but he has proven himself as good as ever this season and could well go one better than his 2nd in this very race in 2022. Remastered won on his return action at Wincanton in October by a short head. He was then in the process of running a big race at the same track in the Badger Beer handicap before falling 4 fences from home. If none the worse for that experience he could well run another big race today back at a track and distance that suits him well. Remastered rates a 3 star each way Pick.
