Flooring Porter is a high class staying hurdler having won the Cheltenham Stayers hurdle twice and a fine 2nd in it this year. He made a good start to chasing when winning a novice contest at Cheltenham last year but has since struggled in graded novice company. He was very weak in the betting when running in a handicap chase in July over an inadequate 2m1f and was ultimately well beaten. However that run might have been a prep for today's race and the 3m trip is going to suit him much better. You often need to be up with the pace and out of trouble in this race and it is easy to imagine Flooring Porter trying to make all the running, if so he is dangerously well handicapped on his hurdles form and could put in a bold bid.
