Lowry's Bar showed some very smart form in handicap hurdles last season but has taken that to a higher level since being sent novice chasing this term. He has won 2 of his 4 starts over the larger obstacles and has finished 2nd on the other 2 runs. He ran a fine race to finish 2nd to a decent sort at Windsor last time and but for a mistake 3 out could well have gone even closer than the 2 1/4 length margin he lost by. The handicapper has put him up 4lb for that run and racing of top weight today will be no easy task. However Lowry's Bar is open to plenty of improvement and 3m around a speed track like Kempton looks the ideal test for him. Lowry's Bar rates a 4 star each way Pick.
