Double Powerful is looking for win number six in a row having improved leaps and bounds in handicap hurdles over this year. He's winning run started off a mark of 76 and he now has an official rating of 118. Double Powerful was a most impressive winner last time out at Fontwell when coming clear easily to win by 10 lengths. He can race with a 7lb penalty today so is running effectively off 114 today and that might not be enough to stop him. The big field today with a likely strong early pace will play into his hands as he is a strong traveller and having already won over this kind of distance, he has no fears stamina wise. Granted a clear round, Double Powerful should be in the shake up at the finish. Double Powerful rates a 5 star each way Pick.
