Apples Moon didn't show an awful lot in maiden and novice company last season but has very much come back an improved model this term since going handicapping. She won in clear-cut fashion off a mark of 83 at Warwick in September and then backed that up with a good 2nd at Hereford last time out off a 7lb higher mark. She has gone up a further 3lbs for that run but she could well still be improving and good enough to defy the rise. The step up to today's distance of 2m5f looks to be a move that will suit Apples Moon well as it looked like the sharp Hereford track caught her out a bit last time. In a race with not many in-form rivals, Apples Moon rates a 5 star win Pick.
