Sir Gino to show class at Kempton

Sir Gino to show class at Kempton
Sir Gino to show class at Kempton

An excellent day's Racing with top class action from Kempton and Chepstow. Here are the thoughts of our Racing Factors tipster.

Sir Gino is a perfect 5 wins from 5 career starts and that already includes 2 wins at Grade 1 level. He was the best juvenile hurdler around last season and returned to action with an imperious performance in the Fighting Fifth hurdle at Newcastle last month, winning in a canter by 8 lengths. Sir Gino has always looked a horse that has the scope to make up into a fine chaser and 2m on a speed track such a Kempton (has won at this track and distance over hurdles) should suit him really well. Connections have been very pleased with his schooling and he looks the one to beat. Sir Gino rates a 5 star win Pick.

Willmount had won a point-to-point and 2 bumper races before tackling novice hurdles last season. He got off to a good start winning at Newbury by 13 lengths. However he was subsequently pulled up in the grade 1 Challow Hurdle on his next start and connections opted to call it a day for the season with him. On his return to action this year he was sent handicap hurdling off a mark of 130 at Cheltenham just under 2 weeks ago. Willmount was travelling very strongly in the race before unfortunately falling 3 out. If none the worse for that tumble he looks a horse that should be winning off his current mark and has plenty of potential. Willmount rates a 4 star win Pick.
