Clockwatcher had shown some fair form in maiden and novice company before tackling handicaps this summer. Although he was well beaten two starts ago at Newmarket over 1m4f distance, presumably not handling the track. On his latest outing, stepped up to 2m at Newcastle he finally got his head in front, racing prominently and then quickening up well in the final furlong. It could well be that the extra distance is what Clockwatcher requires and given only a 3lb rise for his last run, he could still have far more to offer at this distance. The galloping track at Kempton should suit him well and Clockwatcher rates a 4 star win Pick.
