Milan Bridge can make a successful start to life as a chaser in the 13:45 at Sandown today. He did really well to pick up three hurdle races last season and returned to action this season finishing a very good second behind Remastered at Aintree in a handicap hurdle. He looked very much in need of the run that day and should now be spot on fitness wise for today's race. His opening handicap mark of 126 looks reasonable and it would be disappointing if he doesn't make a fair staying chaser in time. With the Nicholls team in great form, Milan Bridge rates a 2 star win Pick.

Hugos New Horse looks to have been found a nice opportunity in the 15:30 at Sandown. He looked a horse that still has plenty to learn about hurdling when winning a 4 runners race at Wincanton last time, not being too fluent at his hurdles before knuckling down well to beat Trolley Boy by 1 3/4l. Consequently he has been given an opening handicap mark of 117 and that may well underestimate his ability in time. The hope is that he has brushed up on his hurdling and this stiff 2m can see him to far better light then last time. With the Nicholls horses in fine form at the moment he rates a 2 star win Pick.
