VERDICT: Pawpaw warrants respect after regaining the winning thread at Fontwell last month. However, the seven-year-old is effectively 9lb higher in the ratings now that Caoilin Quinn has gone through his 3lb claim and chasing debutant Clovis Boy edges the vote. Lucinda Russell's charge capped off his novice hurdling campaign with a victory over an extended 2m7f at Newcastle and he looks just the type to relish this longer 3m2f distance. The selection's stablemate Torosay also merits consideration.
