VERDICT: Marlacoo scored in the style of a smart prospect when running away with a Down Royal bumper on his debut in May and, having subsequently been snapped up for 85,000 pounds, he gets the vote to land the spoils on his first start for the Tom Lacey team. Last seen finishing third in the Grade 2 Adonis Juvenile Hurdle at Kempton in February, Captain Marvellous should find this company more manageable and he commands the utmost respect.
