VERDICT: A very open contest sees Tropical Talent get a tentative nod to gain compensation after being sent off favourite when third over the extended 2m at Sedgefield last month. A mistake at a key time put pay to his chances on that occasion, but he showed a likeable attitude to stay on into third and a more polished display would help to make a difference. The reopposing Clean Getaway (second) was a neck in front of the selection on that outing and he appears likely to offer another bold bid, while Nevendon also makes appeal.
