VERDICT: Enrico Caruso did it well when scoring comfortably on his handicap debut at Sandown in July and the runner-up, who came into the race on a four-timer, has franked the form since by going unbeaten. The Gosdens' four-year-old shaped as though stepping up in trip would suit and he gets that opportunity now, with impressive Ascot winner Assail looking best placed to chase him home. A highly progressive sort over the summer, Night Breeze is entitled to have a say in proceedings as well.
