VERDICT: Akkadian Thunder continued his upward trajectory when recording a career-best victory at Doncaster in July. The four-year-old did well to score from an uncompromising position and he's still open to improvement on just his third outing on turf. The application of first-time blinkers saw a return to form from last month's Curragh third Rahmi and Johnny Murtagh's gelding may give the selection most to think about, ahead of fellow in-form rival Carrytheone.
