VERDICT: Very impressive since his first steps on the track, Kazar (1) made a fine return to competition, over course and distance, a month ago. He will have come on for the run and can win this, but Matthieu Abrivard will be justifiably wary of the well-placed Karma Power (5) who has every chance of keeping his 2024 record blemish-free. Kaleo Du Bellay (3) may not be cut from the same cloth but he flew up at Laval late-June and the draw will do his chances no disservice. Kheops Castelets (15) has been less-fortunate with the draw but left a good impression last time out and the Eric Raffin-factor will count for a lot here.
