VERDICT: A highly competitive G1 contest that can see fillies dominate. Two-year-old The Platinum Queen (19) suffered a nose defeat when runner-up in the G2 Flying Childers Stakes over 1000m at Doncaster (UK). Selected to register a first win at this level. Flotus (17) rates a big threat on the back of a 3.75L third in the G1 Flying Five Stakes over 1000m at The Curragh (Ireland). Supplemented runner Teresa Mendoza (15) showed good form when a neck second in the 1000m G3 World Trophy Stakes at Newbury. Expected to go well once more. Fourth in this race last year Mo Celita (13) has a good draw three off the rail and warrants close consideration on the back of a 1.75L fourth in the Listed Scottish Sprint EBF Fillies' Stakes tackling 1100m at Ayr (UK). Berneuil (7) may fare best of the high drawn horses following a 0.75L victory in the G3 Prix du Petit Couvert over this track and trip.
