VERDICT: Corsican had excuses for a disappointing last start having shown promise in his first two (sprints) and is open to any amount of improvement trying a lot further, so could be worth another chance. L'ultimo improved nicely when stepping up to 1600m here last time and should be competitive with further progress expected. Ice And Fire could also have more to offer trying the distance. Cataleya Summer was third over a similar trip on the turf last time out and is another who could improve reverting to the Poly with blinkers on for the first time. Ferney enjoys the surface and could earn a cheque.
